Our Role → In the Field 

Every month, Dum Tak brings a teaching artist into a preschool in Somerville. No stage. No distance. Just a musician, a room full of children, and thirty minutes of shared rhythm.

Pilot program — launched May 2026

Monthly sessions at a Somerville preschool

Sessions include movement, sing-alongs, and music tailored to the children's own world — their teachers, their classroom, their everyday. Teaching artists introduce instruments up close, giving children a rare, hands-on encounter with live music.
